Why is my provider asking to record my appointment?
Recording visits helps the provider take more comprehensive care notes while being able to focus on you and your needs during the visit. A provider will always ask for your permission to record at the start of the appointment, and you can choose not to provide consent with no impact on the care you will receive. If you do give the provider permission to record, the transcript is used to create a complete visit summary for the provider to better inform your care.
